Uterine Cancer Added to the WTC Health Program’s List of Covered Conditions

Great news!

After years of advocacy, uterine cancer has been added to the WTC Health Program’s list of covered conditions as of January 18th, 2023. This includes all kinds of uterine cancers, including endometrial cancers. If you have, believe you have, or are undergoing testing for uterine cancer, read more about what this means for your treatment and costs at the WTC Health Program’s Uterine Cancer page.

The big takeaways:

  • If you are a WTC Health Program member and think you may have symptoms of uterine cancer, you can now contact your Clinical Center of Excellence (CCE) or the Nationwide Provider Network (NPN). Program doctors will review your symptoms and make referrals for further evaluation where medically necessary.

  • If you are a WTC Health Program member and have already been diagnosed with uterine cancer(s), contact your CCE or the NPN to see if your cancer qualifies for certification and to learn more about treatment through the Program.

Unfortunately the program cannot reimburse members for the costs of any treatment received before January 18th, 2023, but this change may mean those costs can be covered by the VCF. Learn more about that program at our VCF Program page.
